Kazi Studios was involved in highlighting a number of harmful practices prevalent in Nepal, like caste-based discrimination, menstrual restrictions including chhaupadi, child marriage, dowry, and witchcraft accusations.
The challenge was to create an illustrated representation of culturally sensitive issues and representing the data accurately. The report went through numerous iterations to correctly communicate on terminology and illustrations.
An even was held to launch the report on Harmful Practices. The launch event showcased a photo exhibition on Chhaupadi and Witchcraft Accusations and Persecution by two prominent Nepali artists: Uma Bista and Nabin Baral.
